Posing for the TV camera
Mike was capturing us on the camera to show us what we would look like on TV.
Just a minute before, Chris was doing rabbit ears over Gerry's head and I missed it. Darn it, my camera was too slow to get going.
I actually like this picture better though, it ended up as a moment of affection shown for his father.

Side view of a camera
I was fascinated by the cameras, and thought someone else that didn't come on the tour might like a bit of a close-up view of the side. They are quite expensive, in case you were thinking about buying one.
Anyone remember how much Mike said they cost? If you do, please e-mail me at mm@maclochdesigns.com and I will put in here.

Front of the camera.
You can see this part on the front of the camera that is the TelePrompTer. The horizontal flat piece projects the words up to the glass that is at a 45 degree angle. You can barely see the camera lens behind the angled glass.
The person in front of the camera can see the words, but the camera can not pick them up because they are at the wrong angle to be seen by the lens (I think that is what he said). That way the people in front of the camera can look directly at the camera while reading the words.
The words are in really large letters so the person in front of the camera
can read them. It takes a while for them to learn how to do it without hesitations
in their speech, since only a few words are projected at any one time.
