Executive Committee Meeting

1. Newsletter.
   In spite of much begging, Duke has decided to withdraw, at least for a while, as editor of M*Ark. That leaves a huge void. The tentative solution has been to try to send out Newsletters like this one or the last one twice per quarter and try to do a real one for the last quarter.
   
   
2. Meetings.
   We traditionally have held meetings in Little Rock the last Thursday of the month. Is there any interest in holding meetings in other areas of the state? Is there any interest in having a speaker?
   
   
3. PROXYQUEST and ByLaws.
   American Mensa needs our help on ProxyQuest. They are taking it very seriously. I read in another newsletter that if we don't get the 50% we need we cannot elect new officers!
   
   As most of the executive committee consists of officers waiting anxiously for the next election, this thought was too horrible to contemplate. Please, Please, Please send in your proxy. 4. Our Bylaws.
   Our Bylaws are something we found in a box dated 1974. National Mensa has issued a set of required bylaws and had decreed that the mandatory bylaws are incorporated into our bylaws automatically, whether we actually do it or not.
   
   We need new bylaws. It's not the most important thing we do, but eventually we may want to think about it.
   
   Fortunately, we can elect new officers whether we change our bylaws or not.
